Yard info/Codes
City View is to be developed in Phases. When you purchased your home, you SHOULD have received a few pages of Deed Restrictions. Each Phase has different restrictions but they are all VERY similar. The purpose of thes restrictions is to have uniformity in landscaping. If you did NOT receive a copy, you can look up your address on prad.org and find which Phase you are in. It will say, for example: City View #3. Then, go to http://rockroseamarillo.com , then click on City View, then Documents. Each developed Phase will be listed. Click on your phase. Article 2 deals with landscaping. Here is what I have copied & pasted for #12. Most all of them say the same thing.
Lot Maintenance. Lot owners must maintain the yards in a sanitary and attractive manner including but not limited to mowing, edging, trimming, and irrigation. Grass on each Lot and adjacent right of way must be kept mowed at regular intervals to maintain the Lot in a neat and attractive manner. Weeds and other unwanted vegetation must be reasonably controlled or eliminated. it up! It's there! If you have a neighboring lot that does not meet the standards, call Code Enforcement at the City of Amarillo and report them. But before you do that, be a good neighbor and find out if there is a health problem or another good reason for them not keeping up the property. Then, offer to mow it or hire a youngster to mow! We have found several guys in the past looking for summer jobs and they do a good job for a reasonable price. Many will soon be leaving flyers on our doors soon!
